Potential New Hobby or Potential New Hyperfocus?

I mentioned that a few weeks back, we acquired nine carnival goldfish. Because I knew little to nothing about caring for goldfish, I took to the Internet. Even though I prefer text, I eventually wound up watching YouTube videos, researching subjects like filters, fin rot, and aquarium plants. I don't know exactly when or how it happened, but I ended up discovering aquascaping videos. Um, this could be a problem.

With my hand problems, I've lost knitting as a hobby and a creative outlet. I tried building miniatures, but my eyes and hand issues thwarted that. Gardening turned into a huge hyperfocus, so I intentionally backed away in order to make me not lose track of my actual obligations and responsibilities.

But, aquascaping seems so cool. I have spare 10 gallon tank that I used to treat the sick goldfish. Now, I want to plant it and get some tiny fish. That's a reasonable thing - BUT, I have found myself looking at used aquariums online and thinking about places in the house I could put them.

Why can't I find hobbies that don't require so much money, time, or space? It would also be nice to find a hobby that didn't have physical "output". I don't need more clutter or things in my house or life.
