Premium Recipe Hack

Dan Q wrote a nice piece about poor access control for a recipe site. I happened to come across the same thing the other day on delish.

However, I seldom actually read recipes on websites anymore. Instead, I throw the link into Paprika or Mela and have the app remove the author's life story and just show me the recipe.

It turns out, when "premium" recipes are protected like this, my recipe apps aren't bothered a bit and will slurp the recipe right down. For sites like America's Test Kitchen or the New York Times, I actually have to log in to get the recipe. Let's hope nobody tips off the insecure sites.
